How it works

Built for walls that need to breathe.

Warm Walls is a four-layer system fixed dry against the inside of a solid wall. Each layer has one job — and together they move moisture forward, off the wall and out of the room, while holding the heat in.

Reformed cork battens
1The base layer

Reformed cork, fixed dry

Waste Portuguese cork, bonded by its own natural suberin resin. It won't rot, and its high thermal resistance removes the cold bridging you'd get from timber or metal fixings — so the system performs evenly across the whole wall.

Sheep's wool insulation
2The insulation

80 mm of breathing wool

Pure, hygroscopic sheep's wool (λ = 0.033) does the thermal work while actively buffering humidity — absorbing moisture when the air is damp and releasing it when it's dry. It's treated against infestation without harsh chemicals.

Air-open facing board being installed
3The finish

A surface that breathes

An air-open wood-wool board lets the room breathe into the wool behind it, driving vapour forward and preventing condensation from ever forming inside the wall. It's plastered and decorated to taste — an ordinary-looking room with extraordinary physics.

Integrated wall heating pipes
+Optional

Heat-pump ready

Heating pipes can be nested behind the board, turning the whole wall into a gentle low-temperature radiator. It cuts the need for extra radiators when a home moves to a heat pump — the fabric and the heating, upgraded in one pass.

The principle

Give the room full access to the wool. Moisture is drawn from the wall, carried forward through the open boards, and removed by normal ventilation — so the wall dries instead of trapping water.

The process

From first visit to finished wall — with the outcome agreed up front

01

Survey & assess

We assess the building and run a tailored EPC — before any work is quoted.

02

Design & target

We design the build-up for your walls and confirm the EPC rating you'll reach.

03

Dry-fixed install

Our trained team fits the system in your occupied home — no wet plaster, minimal disruption.

04

Verify & certify

A post-works EPC confirms the result in writing — the outcome you were promised.
