Making homes healthier.
Warm Walls is breathable insulation for the UK's solid-wall and period homes — warmer rooms, balanced humidity and cleaner air. Proven in the field, heritage-friendly and heat-pump ready.
A quarter of UK homes weren't built for the way we heat them now.
Solid stone and brick walls manage moisture by absorbing and releasing it — they have no cavity to fill. Seal them with conventional insulation and you trap that water inside, driving damp, mould and slow decay.
The breathable alternatives that do work are slow, wet and expensive — so these "hard-to-treat" homes keep getting skipped. Warm Walls was built for exactly these walls.
Four natural layers, working with the wall
Tested through Britain's wettest winter on record — and it kept the wall dry.
Read the evidence →Room heat loss cut by a third over a 30-day winter trial.
From 2.64 down to 0.32 W/m²K — an eight-fold improvement.
Indoor humidity kept inside the Passivhaus comfort band.
Warmer, drier homes and people who'd recommend us.
"Our 1840s cottage was always cold, and the back bedroom had black mould every winter. A year on it's warm, dry, and the mould has never come back."
"They worked around us — no moving out, no mess — and kept the original fireplace and skirting exactly as they were. You'd never know the walls had been touched."
"As a landlord with three period rentals, the before-and-after EPC made it an easy decision. Two are now band C and ready for 2030."
An occupied Victorian home, upgraded without losing its character.
Skirting, fireplace and proportions stayed intact while the walls were dry-fixed around them — no wet plaster, no moving out, and a measured EPC jump on completion.
Backed for 25 years, in writing.
Every Warm Walls installation comes with a 25-year system guarantee and a documented before-and-after EPC — so the outcome you're promised is the outcome you keep.
Across Cornwall & the South West
Based in Truro, working throughout Cornwall, Devon and the wider South West. Not sure if we reach you? Just ask.
The things homeowners ask us first
Can I stay in my home during the work?
Yes. The system is dry-fixed, so there's no wet plaster and no need to move out. We work room by room with minimal disruption.
Will it cause damp like other insulation?
No — the opposite. Warm Walls is breathable, so it draws moisture out of the wall rather than trapping it. In our field trial the wall actively dried out.
Does it work on listed or period homes?
It's designed for exactly these buildings. Skirting, fireplaces and proportions are retained, and the breathable build respects how traditional walls behave.
How long does an install take?
Most rooms take a few days; a whole home depends on size and is scheduled around you. We'll give you a clear timeline at survey.
Is it ready for a heat pump?
Yes. Warm Walls gives the deep fabric upgrade a low-temperature heat pump needs — and can integrate wall heating to cut the need for extra radiators.
Are there grants to help with the cost?
Often, yes. We'll check your eligibility for current funding schemes and explain finance options as part of your quote. See pricing & grants.
